Due to the continuing war in North East Sri Lanka, it is difficult to maintain communications.

Batticaloa is separated into two portions, Army-controlled area and the area not controlled by the Army. The three homes among the homes' getting help from uthawi, are located in the area which is not controlled by the army. Due to this conflict, it is difficult to complete the important tasks.

We had the convenience of telephone until today, but all these phone connections had been disconnected by the government. Now, we can write about any news about the children in uthawi, only if we receive any by any other ways.

The transporation also have been restricted for these areas.

After the war have been started, except uthawi, all the help from other sources had been stopped and the Managers of the Homes' face a great deal of struggle to provide care for the children.

Even though this is the current reality there, the managers' of the Homes say that chidren are being safe.

i will send the additional information when I receive them.
